Programme of events for the Club’s 68th Year 2024-2025

Mon 16 Dec – 7.30-9pm Zoom – Christmas catch up – 7.30pm, bring your own drink and mince pie! Season’s greetings everyone!

2025

Mon 13 Jan – Club Meeting  7.30pm – 9.30pm at Greenwood United Reformed Church Hall, Watford Road, Chiswell Green, AL2 3HG. We will be welcoming two new members to the Club, which always makes for a special evening. We will also hear from Georgie Willits, St Albans Council Engagement Officer. Georgie will talk about “Greener Together”, the Council’s sustainability initiative.

Mon 27 Jan – Nosh and Natter in Harpenden – evening – venue TBD

Tue 28 Jan – Book Club 7.30pm – venue TBC. The group usually meets on the third Tuesday of the month – to join please email sistalbans@hotmail.com

Fri 7 Mar – Morning – St Albans Girls’ School Year 12 Inspiring Women Networking Breakfast followed by Year 8 Inspiring Women Networking Event – to mark International Women’s Day.

Mon 10 Mar – Club Meeting  7.30pm – 9.30pm at Greenwood United Reformed Church Hall. (NB 8 Mar is International Women’s Day).

Sat 15 Mar – SI London Chilterns Region Conference and Celebration of International Women’s Day at the University of Hertfordshire

Mon 28 Apr – Speaker Meeting on Zoom – 7.30-9pm. We will hear about the work of the Ollie Foundation https://theolliefoundation.org/– a local suicide prevention and well-being charity.

Sat 7 Jun – SI London Chilterns  Region Conference – to be held in St Albans and hosted by Soroptimist International St Albans and District.

Sat 11 Oct – SI London Chilterns Region AGM/Conference

Fri 31 Oct to Sun 2 Nov SIGBI Conference in Birmingham BCEC

The Soroptimist Club of St Albans and District holds Club Meetings on the 2nd Monday of most months either on Zoom or at Greenwood United Reformed Church Hall, Watford Road, Chiswell Green, AL2 3HG – click here for more information https://sigbi.org/st-albans/where-we-meet. Zoom meetings are usually 7.30pm to 9pm. In person meetings are usually 7.15pm for 7.30pm start, coffee break during the meeting and end at 9.30pm. Club Members also meet on most 4th Mondays – either at Greenwood URC, on Zoom or out and about at other venues. Coffee mornings are adhoc – usually 10.30am to 12.30pm and are held at different venues. In addition there are social and fundraising events.

Our Club holds a Planning/Executive meeting at the beginning of the first week of most months – the schedule is on this website www,sigbi.org/st-albans/club-programme/exec/. We are an open and transparent Club and Members’ are encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings.
