Collecting and Recycling Medicine Blister Packs and Bras

Recycle Medicine Blister Packs

Recycling Medicine Blister Packs

Please save your empty medicine blister packs for recycling that benefits the Marie Curie end of life charity.
We are collecting in the St Albans and Harpenden area.
SI St Albans & District Soroptimist Denise Powell with husband Harpenden Lion John Powell, gathers them up into large clear reused plastic bags and delivers them to Superdrug Hemel Hempstead. Superdrug send them off to TeraCycle https://www.terracycle.com/en-GB/  The photos show John delivering the first tranche of 2 huge bags. And Denise with the next massive load!

If you are out of the St Albans and Harpenden area then you can drop them off  in participating Superdrug pharmacies across the UK.  Please note not all Superdrug stores are pharmacies – it is only the pharmacy stores that are collecting.

Any queries please email sistalbans@hotmail.com or use the “Contact Us” facility on this website.

For every blister packet collected, TeraCycle will donate points to Superdrug pharmacies to be redeemed into financial donations towards the Marie Curie end of life charity.

The St Albans Soroptimists are collecting barely worn bras and new women’s and children’s knickers and pants (in packets please).

This is part of the “Smalls for All” initiative – sending underwear to Africa to help women and children.

Please see www.smallsforall.org for more info.
