Why be a Soroptimist?

Yorkshire members talk about being a Soroptimist and why it is important to them:

‘ Being a member of Soroptimist International is important to me because it provides a network of women, who have given me the confidence and ability to help other women’.                                                                                                              Catherine Whittingham. ‘Being a member of SI is important to me because it offers friendship with like minded people looking to try and  improve the lives of those who are less fortunate than myself.’              Elizabeth Ellis of SI Scarborough, in the photo with her fellow SI Scarborough member Liz Curry

‘Being a member of Soroptimist International is important to me, because I can be actively/hands on involved in making a difference to the lives of women and children, not only in my Region, but all over the world, in partnership with many excellent, committed women, and with many of whom I have now formed wonderful friendships. ‘ Judith Alce SI Wakefield
