This quarters RCM was held in Askham Richard, a lovely village within the York environs. It is home to Askham Grange the women’s open prison and Yorkshire Soroptimists meet there once a year where we are looked after wonderfully well by the staff and the residents.
The main items on the agenda were a presentation by Erica Amende of Spen Valley Civic Society who told us all about the creation of the Jo Cox wood planted in memory of the murdered MP and a presentation with questions from SIGBI President Ruth Healey about the plans to modernise the organisation.
We also heard from SI Halifax, SI Bingley, SI Hallamshire about their programme action and the joint library project with SI Blantyre Malawi, great work and very inspiring to all.
