The June RCM was held at Wentworth Woodhouse near Rotherham. The first speakers were Poet Chaucer Cameron and film poet Helen Dewberry, Helen showed her video essay looking at the representation of trauma and memory in poetry, film and an extract from the film of Chaucer’s pamphlet “In An Ideal World I’d Not Be Murdered.” The film is intended for educational institutions and organisations that work with survivors of sexual violence. It aims to promote activism and awareness around sexual violence, including sex work. Then followed a presentation by Sarah McLeod CEO of Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust.
