As part of our club’s ongoing ‘Literacy’ theme, 2025 to 2026, a donation was made by the club to Book Aid International, a charity which last year sent over 850,000 new books to 22 countries across the world. Their vision is a world where everyone, no matter their circumstances, has access to the books and information they need to thrive.http://bookaid.org
Members visited the Logos Hope Ship, berthed in the city harbour, and purchased a variety of books to donate along with donations from other club members to the new Inchgarth Community Library in the city.
Logos Hope is renowned for being the world’s largest floating book fair. Launched in 2009, the ship carries a crew of 350 international volunteers who are dedicated to the vision of providing high quality literature, and sharing knowledge, help and hope throughout the world.http://www.gbaships.org
