Potty Plotters Elaine & Julia
The June speakers for Cannock Soroptimists were ‘The Potty Plotters – Elaine and Julia regaled members with stories revolving around their allotments, which is how they became friends. Tips were given on how to store both onions and empty plant pots – in used tights. They grow the usual fruit, vegetables, flowers and salad items. To date Julia’s largest tomato weighed a whopping 3lbs 5ozs.
They have a side line now, rehoming greenhouses, 40 to date, all showing a sticker saying
‘Erection by Elaine and Julia’.
Elaine is hoping that the government may announce a new role of ‘Minister of Allotments’ , she would be very interested as she has lots of ideas.

Much laughter made this a very enjoyable meeting with a vote of thanks given by June Bould who received one of the bunches of flowers presented by Elaine and Julia which they had picked that morning.
