A Freedom Service

Speaking at the Freedom Service in Chester Cathedral

On Sunday, 17th September, 2017, members of SI Chester attended a Freedom Service in Chester Cathedral.  The Service was held to remember those caught up in the tragedy of Human Trafficking.  We, along with a representative from the Cheshire Anti-Slavery Network, had an opportunity to speak about an aspect of our involvement and chose to talk about the Purple Teardrop Campaign.

Following the Service we collected signatures for the Campaign and also gave out links to the forthcoming Survey to assess public awareness of Human Trafficking (a joint initiative between the Soroptimist UK Programme Action Committee and the UK Modern Day Slavery Training Delivery Group).
