An excellent presentation at the business meeting last night from Kate Steventon from Family Learning, Coventry Adult Education Service. We have supported this service with a donation and it was very interesting to hear how this money is being invested to support the learning of reading in Coventry.
Kate’s job title is Delivery Manager but that hardly does justice to the woman we met. She clearly loves her work with women from a wide range of backgrounds, all wanting to give the best support to their children and seeking to match their aspirations to the difficult circumstances they often face. Working with Kate, who exudes warmth and enthusiasm for the task, must give them so much confidence. Coventry are very lucky to have her energy and skill and we loved meeting her.
