SI Lichfield and District members joined other club members and the Three Midland Regional Presidents at the National Memorial Arboretum on Sunday 28th September 2014. International President Ann Garvie and SIGBI Federation President Margaret Oldroyd were also in attendance to receive a plaque to commemorate 80 years of service to the women of the world by members of SIGBI 1934-2014.
The commemoration ended with Margaret Oldroyd reading the peace pledge which, like the tree, stands for our continuing dedication to peace and peace-making. This was followed by a bulb planting session in the Soroptimist garden.
