Watling View Nourish to Flourish SISTA CoffeeWatling View Nourish to Flourish SISTA CoffeeOn Thursday 16 March six Members of Soroptimist International St Albans & District arranged a coffee morning at Nourish to Flourish, the new cafe at Watling View School in St Albans. The school caters for up to 92 pupils age 2-19, with a wide range of complex and profound learning difficulties. The Club has supported the school for many years and are thrilled that they have now opened a new purpose-built cafe ‘Nourish to Flourish’. The cafe is designed to teach the older students hands-on skills that will support them in independent living and provide Watling View Coffeethe potential for future employment www.watlingview.herts.sch.uk. Debbie Tankard, a Member of the St Albans Soroptimists, is a school governor at Watling View School and arranged the visit. While we were there Andy Scott the Headteacher dropped by. Everyone was really impressed by the cafe and the quality of the food, drink and service. The student who served the group on the day did a great job which will help her to gain confidence in her ability. In the photo taken outside are (l to r) Catherine Moore, Sarah Lichman, Debbie Tankard, Bev Keech and Barbara Saunders (Jane Slatter took the photo).
