Collecting and Recycling Medicine Blister Packs and Bras

Recycling Medicine Blister Packs

Aldi have launched a scheme to enable recycling of a limited amount of empty medicine blister packs:

John Powell Superdrug Medicine Blister PacksSI St Albans Denise Powell Blister Pack RecyclePERSONAL DEPOSITS ONLY AT SUPERDRUG PHARMACIES!! After 18 months and 1.5 tonnes of empty medicine blister packs delivered by St Albans and District Soroptimist Denise Powell and her Harpenden Lions husband John, Superdrug HQ have decided that their pharmacies will only now accept personal deposits. Therefore we can no longer accept collections.

If you do visit a Superdrug store with a pharmacy (e.g. Hemel Hempstead and Watford), please take a carrier bag full with you.

We are NO LONGER collecting in the St Albans and Harpenden area.
If you are out of the St Albans and Harpenden area then you can drop them off  in participating Superdrug pharmacies across the UK.  Please note not all Superdrug stores are pharmacies – it is only the pharmacy stores that are collecting.

The St Albans Soroptimists are collecting barely worn bras and new women’s and children’s knickers and pants (in packets please).

This is part of the “Smalls for All” initiative – sending underwear to Africa to help women and children.
