Welcome to the website of SIGBI’s 87th Federation Conference and 100th Celebratory Birthday Party, to be held, for the first time since 1975, in Llandudno – Wales’s top seaside town and international tourist destination.
The dates of the Conference are 28-30 October 2021.
Llandudno is in the coastal county of Conwy and key attractions include the Pier and Promenade, two beautiful beaches and the famous Great Orme – a special area of conservation and home of the famous Great Orme cable hauled street Tramway, one of only three such systems in the world.
The theme of the Conference is ‘Believe to Achieve’ and it will be held at Venue Cymru, a smaller conference centre occupying a stunning sea-front location.
The Conference Committee is busy planning a Conference ‘with a difference’, which we hope will enthuse and excite our members. In addition to the usual keynote speakers, General Meeting and networking opportunities we hope to offer you:
- A variety of workshops
- An interactive seminar
- An exhibition with unique shopping opportunities
- Pre-conference tours to places of local interest
- Some delightful Welsh entertainment
Llandudno is served by excellent road, rail & ferry networks and is only 1 hour & 20 minutes from both Liverpool and Manchester Airports. So please do come and be inspired. The members of clubs in the Cheshire, North Wales & Wirral and London Chilterns Regions look forward to welcoming you.
