SI Cannock Celebrate Long Service

Each year at their AGM, SI Cannock have the opportunity to celebrate those members who have reached milestones of membership of the club. This year, long service certificates were given to two of their members present at the meeting.

Eileen Cryer has been a member of SI Cannock for 20 years. During that time Eileen has served as Club President, has been [and still is] a member of the Finance Team; she has led on our participation in the annual Christmas Tree Festival at St Luke’s and supported events at club and at Region in so many ways.

Lynne Tuckley celebrated 25 years as a member. During that time she has been Club President, is also a member of the Finance team, and keeps us organised with our meals at meetings at the Barns! She is our link with SI Port Talbot, one of our Friendship Link Clubs, keeping in regular contact with them and organising occasions for us to meet. Lynne is perhaps best known in the club – and the Region – for her exceptional talent designing and creating beautiful cross stitch pieces to recognise special Soroptimist milestones. These works are on display at all events we hold.

Carole Holdcroft, as Lead Team President 2023-24 presented Eileen and Lynne with certificates signed by the Federation President Ruth Healey and on behalf of the club thanked them for all that they have done and still do for SI Cannock.

Ronnie Reynolds had also earned her 20 year long service award but wasn’t able to be at the meeting, so new Vice President Marion Barnett visited Ronnie to present it to her.  Ronnie is also a Past President of the club – she served as President twice, the second time sharing the role in a joint Presidency.  Ronnie has served on committees and supports the club in many of its activities.
