As Sharon stepped down from her year as President of SI Kenilworth and District, she asked us to reflect on the wonderful picture from the club’s inaugural event in 1969 – the formality and the solemnity compared with the warmth and humour of last night’s meeting. But the Objects of Soroptimists, as read by Alison, remain the same.
Great to see Fiona and Donna taking on leadership roles at the start of this new year – we know they will keep us moving forward in their prospective roles.
What else could we buy for our retiring President, but a Rose of Sharon.

With the AGM successfully negotiated, there was plenty of work to do.
Amanda gave us an update on the preparations for SI Kenilworth and District taking over the Kenilworth Advent Calendar. The campaign will have its own website in due course.
At present, the Advent Calendar team are working on their Sales Strategy.

Donna and the Programme Action team are ready to launch this year’s projects.
Lend with Care will continue as will Fundraising. The funds we raise will be distributed to charities which are yet to be chosen. That will be a focus of the May Business Meeting.
Eve and Fiona will be filling our Social calendar with events for members and there will be a particularly important weekend from July 10th. This is when our Friendship Links will be forged anew with a weekend entertaining friends from SI Remscheid and SI Arnhem-Oost, We will be welcoming 13 vistors on the 10th, 11th and 12th July.
