Sunday 20th October was a very busy day for Kenilworth and Leamington and Warwick members. The Swimathon went off to a flying start at 11.00am. There was great excitement in the swimming pool and with lots of cheering and applause. Our Team certainly did us proud completing  45 laps of a 25 meter pool, well done all of you. It was fantastic that Sandra joined the team from SI Cardiff and was supported by Ann.

  We were delighted to be joined by the Mayor of Kenilworth Felicity Bunker at our dinner meeting of 27th June.  Mrs Bunker has been Town Mayor since May and has been a member of Kenilworth Town Council since 1991 becoming a WDC councillor in 2003. Felicity is also a Warwick university graduate and former teacher serving on various committees. A lovely evening was enjoyed by all and subsequently the Mayor was invited to become an honorary member of SI Kenilworth and District.   A posse of Soroptimists  arrived at Joan’s garden on Wednesday 12th June 2013 to generally tidy it up and plant a new flower bed. Luckily enough the rain managed to hold off while the work was being carried out and Joan was delighted with the result. Before work started Finished result!    

The winning team – The Saucy Sisters and a Mister Quiz teams battled on Monday 10th June 2013 at the Virgins and Castle pub. Victorious teams of Soroptimists (and partners!) won various prizes and a raffle was also held with proceeds going to the NSPCC. In all we raised £310! Many thanks to Sue and Ann for organising such a memorable evening.
