Orange the World is a UN campaign (UNiTE to end violence against women by 2030).This initiative which is already happening in some countries in our Federation and across SI Europe has now been launched in the UK by UKPAC.  Our PA Chair Kim Bramham made a short presentation. The colour Orange symbolises a brighter future, free of violence and serves as a means of demonstrating our solidarity in eliminating all forms of violence.  As such it is used as the colour for the International Day of Eliminating Violence Against women. The UNiTE campaign has proclaimed the the 25th of each month as ‘Orange Day’ to raise awareness and take action to end vilence against women and girls.  Backed by activists, governments and UN partners it highlights the issues. IWF’s vision is the global elimination of child sexual abuse imagery online and they are supported by the global internet industry, all the major TEC organisations and the European Commission. The internet doesn’t respect geographical borders, so they work closely with partners worldwide. This includes the industry, law enforcement agencies, governments, charities and other hotlines such as Childline. This helps them to eradicate online images of child sexual abuse as quickly and efficiently as possible. Essentially they are working to

The Victims’Commissioner, Dame Vera Baird, is pressing for this to be included in the updated Domestic Abuse Bill but Government seem to be lukewarm to the idea.  And yet, if it was proven that it had occurred the woman could be included in a high risk category so that when police get a call to attend her address they act quickly because they know she is likely to be murdered in
