Member of Soroptimist International St Albans & District Ameeta Sabharwal and her daughter attended a Royal Garden Party in May 2015.
Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) received invitation for 6 people to attend because of the work that Soroptimists carry out to improve the lives of women and girls.
SIGBI President Jenny Vince attended with her guest, the other places were offered for Members to apply for and Ameeta’s name was drawn.
Ameeta and her daughter were also lucky enough to be in a group selected on the day to be personally introduced to the Queen. Probably something to do with the Soroptimist badge Ameeta was wearing – or it could have been because they both looked so fabulous!
