The Brave Bear Book

Whether you’re purchasing ‘Brave’ to read with a child in your care or gifting a book for an organisation we’re working with, you will be equipping children to know how to keep themselves and others safe from exploitation.

Brave is easy to read and full of the most attractive illustrations that immediately capture the imagination and attention of all who read it.  Brave is very sensitively written, and will prove an invaluable resource for parents, carers, education staff and community leaders wanting to help children explore this pressing issue in an enlightening and extremely enjoyable way.  Don’t just take our word for it, here’s  a review from a nine year old:

“It’s good because it will help people realise that things can go wrong easily if people are not careful and aware. My favourite character is Jenny because she helps Bella.  The words I’d use to describe the book are sad, happy, worrying and exciting. 5 stars!”

The ‘Brave’ storyline is fictional, however, it reflects some of the realities of those who are currently suffering as victims of exploitation.  The story is inspired by the true story of a little girl who was rescued from exploitation with her teddy bear and a coffee roasting business that exists to empower survivours of exploitation.
