SI President Bobbie White and member Jean Harvey made a last minute decision to visit Zipworld in Bethesda, North Wales to support SIGBI President Margaret Emsley, Past SI President Ann Garvie and Margaret Baker, Immediate Past Regional President of South Lancashire during their Challenge in aid of the Diamond Education Grant. The event took place on 11th August when the old slate quarry used by Zipworld was shrouded in mist.The team of flyers went headfirst from the top of the quarry to the bottom at speeds of over 100 miles per hour where they were greeted by Ann Dawson as well as our club members. All joined in the celebrations with the elated flyers afterwards including a special toast for President Maragaret’s Birthday. Our whole Club sends our congratulations to the flyers for the sucessful Challenge. Well Done.
