On Tuesday evening, we had a lively meeting in spite of the fact that two of our members had Covid. We hope both Kath and Chris make a speedy recovery. Fortunately, we met on Zoom.
We were delighted to welcome Claire Clancy, Deputy Headteacher, from Canning Street School in the West End of Newcastle upon Tyne. Claire gave us a presentation about developing outdoor learning at Canning Street and showed how our support had aided the development of their garden and forest school.
We also discussed the situation in Ukraine and decided to send donations directly to the five ukrainian soroptimist clubs who will be able to identify local needs and how money can be used most effectively.
