Bring back bees with a bee bomb! Help renew our Earth on Earth Day. Many thanks to local guides who helped us with our 100 for 100 challenges by making 100 bee bombs.  Perhaps they are our soroptimists of the future! Last year, Newcastle Soroptimists planted several hundred bulbs for our 100 for 100 Challenges to celebrate the centenary of Soroptimist International. This video  (link below) shows many of the flowers we’ve enjoyed this Spring as a result of our efforts in Autumn. https://youtu.be/-F3Fze7GWHs Another video showing more flowers is now available on YouTube.https://youtu.be/mAz9qOqSvnQ

Another way, S.I. Newcastle upon Tyne is marking 100 years of Soroptimists is to collect 100 photographs of  animals and birds they have seen on their walks  in these trying times. The variety is amazing! Presentation100 animals and birds Presentation100 animals and birds

As part of our 100 celebration challenges, one of our members, Cris, said she would submit 100 photos of beautiful or unusual skies. Cris would like to thank all who have sent  her photos, they have been sent by club members and her family. They are mostly from her trips to the coast during the summer or around the Wardley area where she lives. Cris is  sure you will agree that there are some stunning pictures and hopes you enjoy them.  She really enjoyed taking them even though some of the sun rises meant that she had to get up really early. Another challenge to mark off the list. skies 2[317406] 2skies 3[317407] 3skies 4[317408] 4[317409] 1
