What happens to this waste?
Once collected, the empty blister packets are separated by polymer type and cleaned (if necessary). The material is then extruded into plastic pellets to make new recycled products. These end products may include outdoor furniture and decking, plastic shipping pallets, watering cans, storage containers and much metal bins, tubes for construction applications, flooring tiles, playground surface covers and athletic fields, and much more.
