Newcastle Soroptimists are holding an Open Evening at Jesmond Library on Tuesday 27 November 2018 at 7.0pm.
The speaker will be Baroness Joyce Quin who has recently published a book “Angels of the North; notable women of the North East” together with co-author Moira Kilkenny.
The book contains highlights of 40 women from many fields, all of whom made a significant contribution nationally and especially to the North East. Some will be well remembered and others might have been forgotten if not for this testimony to them.
Book signings will be available.
