SI Perth ran a Charity Shop for 2 weeks one in April and one in June/July to raise funds. The weeks were a great success with over £6500 raised. The main beneficiary was Tayside Carers Support Project a local project which supports unpaid carers of someone with a mental illness. Many of SI Perth and other friends were involved both before, gathering, sorting and pricing stock and then running the shop over both lots of 5.5 days. Hard work but very worthwhile and there were many light moments as can be seen in the photo of everyone working hard sorting the stock, well everyone except Nancy, trying on her new skirt for Conference!! The event also achieved excellent local press coverage.
