The Salisbury ‘Smalls for All’ delivery by Club Treasurer Penny has arrived! She took a grand total of 1251 donated ‘preloved’ bras to the sorting room of Smalls for All in Scotland.
Penny set off with her trusty camper van loaded high with the generous contributions from the women of Salisbury and surrounding areas.
Despite lockdown, our call for donations of bras was heard and responded to by generous women across the area, allowing us to surpass our last year’s total of 1120 by a healthy margin.
Donations were left on doorsteps, in gardens, pushed through letterboxes and even handed through open windows! All obeying social distancing rules and adding up to a great contribution for women in the poorest parts of Africa, where wearing a bra gives a woman dignity and self respect.
We held a socially distanced sorting evening in July when most of the bras were counted, sorted and packed ready for their journey north. A further 51 bras were donated after the event.
Maria from Smalls for All is pictured here taking delivery of the SI Salisbury consignment at the end of Penny’s journey.
All the contributions will be shipped and distributed in Africa to women in need.

Penny’s journey marks the culmination of a third successful year of bra collection (bringing the SI Salisbury total collection to some 2841). Thanks to her for her role as collection point and delivery driver and to everyone in Salisbury who donated bras.
