Reflecting on his side’s success, lead coach Phil Lewins said: “I believe the League and competition had been a catalyst for the girls’ cricket in the area.”

Denise Powell, President of Soroptimist International St Albans and District said “there can be no doubt that there is great prestige in winning the trophy and that the Soroptimist Audrey Collins under 13’s cricket award is prized and is therefore making a real difference which is a fitting tribute to Audrey. It is great to know that girls’ cricket is a national priority and that we have been able to assist in its development in Hertfordshire. We feel sure that Audrey would be very proud. It is a privilege for Soroptimists to be part of the event, and to see that our continuation of this support is so highly valued.” Denise is pictured above with the winning team after the presentation of  the shield and trophy.
