Private Lives Charity NightSynopsis

Amanda and Elyot are newly-weds – although not to each other, on this occasion. The recently divorced couple find themselves honeymooning in adjoining suites at the same hotel with their new spouses. Before long, their passionate relationship is rekindled. But can this volatile pair ever find a way to make a success of marriage to each other? And how will their new partners deal with this potentially explosive situation?

This sparkling, sophisticated comedy of manners is a Coward classic which was described by The Guardian as ‘a chilled glass of vitriol’. To the New York Times, it is ‘gorgeous, dazzling, fantastically funny’ while Newsweek simply described it ‘a brilliant comedy’.
