On Monday 11 September we held our inaugural meeting at our new Club Venue – Cottonmill Community and Cycling Centre, 12 Old Oak, Cottonmill Lane, St Albans AL1 2EF.
You can see from the photos what a lovely room we are booked to meet in now (2nd Monday of most months – always check the programme for details – https://sigbi.org/st-albans-and-district/club-programme/), and we had lots of positive feedback. Being September many of our Members were away, and often meetings with smaller numbers are more intimate so the group really enjoyed a evening together to catch up after the summer break.
Sarah, Jean, Janet and Denise reported back enthusiastically about their experiences at the Soroptimist International Convention in Dublin in July – click here to read more https://sigbi.org/st-albans-and-district/2023/dublin/ Barbara and Sarah are pictured here holding up our “Orange the World Project” poster that was on display in the exhibition centre in Dublin, and which had received a lot of attention from delegates attending from around the world.
Barbara chaired the meeting and swiftly went through Club Business so there was time to go through forthcoming events – don’t forget to check the Club Programme for updates so you don’t miss anything!https://sigbi.org/st-albans-and-district/club-programme/
