Hearts and minds for Covid patients

We have been knitting and sewing little hearts for giving to patients suffering from Covid-19 at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and their families.

The idea behind this lovely initiative is that the hearts are made in identical pairs. One is given to the patient in hospital and the other to their family to take home.  This way family members have something tangible to help them
get through this difficult time.

We have made 30 pairs so far, which have been safely wrapped up for giving to patients when they are admitted. Hopefully it won’t be too long before the two hearts are united.
