Hearts and minds for Covid patients

In the height of the Covid pandemic we
wanted to do something for patients suffering from Covid-19 at the
Royal Surrey County Hospital and their families. So we began knitting and sewing little hearts for giving to  patients and their loved ones.

The idea behind this lovely initiative is that the hearts are made in identical pairs.
One is given to the patient in hospital and the other to their family to take home. This way family members have something tangible to help them through this difficult time.

We made over 30 pairs which were safely wrapped up for giving to patients when they were admitted. We hoped it wouldn’t be too long before the two hearts were united.
