About the Region

Cheshire, North Wales & Wirral is a unique, bilingual Region, with clubs in England and Wales.

The Region Cheshire North Wales & Wirral has a rich history.

The first Soroptimist Club in the Wirral was formed in 1933 as a daughter club of the Liverpool Soroptimist Club, and was know as North Wirral Soroptimist Club which subsequently became Soroptimist International Birkenhead. It was the 26th Club to be formed in Great Britain and amongst the first to be started after the Federation of Great Britain & Ireland became a separate entity from that of Europe in 1934. – Read more about the Region History here:
