Letter to local press February 4th 2016

Dear Editor,
The people of Newcastle recently made clear their lack of welcome for Return of Kings / Roosh V and his proposed pro-rape assembly in our city. His advocacy of sexual exploitation of women was particularly repulsive and breathtaking. We think that local people would disapprove equally strongly of sexual exploitation through human trafficking, an activity sadly far more prevalent in our area than the views of these absurd extremists.

Women members of Soroptimist International are joining the campaign to ‘Stop the Traffik’ and will be in Newcastle’s city library from Friday 4th to Tuesday 8th March with a vibrant piece of enormous street art. The U. N. Gift Box is a global project to campaign against Modern Day Slavery and this event is to raise awareness of sexual exploitation in our communities.
Do come and see us and join the campaign to eradicate this de-humanising and illegal trade.
