Perth Soroptimist Days of Action 25 July, 1st & 9th August 2015
On the 25 July Perth Soroptimist club had a busy and enjoyable day of action where we knitted numerous squares for blankets and created dresses for young girls from pillowcases. We had so much to do that we had two further days of action on the1st & 9th August as well. The knitted squares are being donated to the Freedom from Fistula Foundation which helps women in Africa who are suffering from obstetric fistula caused by obstructed childbirth by providing free surgeries and access to healthcare during pregnancy and childbirth. The charity helps thousands of women every year. The pillowcase dresses are being sent to the Mashamoni School, Niarobi.
