SI Salisbury Chartered!

In the beautiful setting of the Cloisters of Salisbury Cathedral, President of the Federation of Great Britain and Ireland Sue Williams chartered the new Club of SI Salisbury on Saturday 3 August 2019.

Some 150 guests: friends, families, local supporters and sister Soroptimists from 24 Clubs of the Federation were present to welcome the Founder President and 16 Founder Members into the global organisation.

Led by Toastmistress Kay Linnell from SI Winchester and District, the charter ceremony and speeches took place prior to the start of the Charter dinner.

President Sue  described the programme activities already being undertaken by members of the new Club and paid tribute to the energy and enthusiasm of all the Founder Members.

Founder President Lisa thanked President Sue for the Club Charter and members of SI Winchester for helping to start the new club. She also thanked SI Bournemouth for mentoring the new Club in the STEM Challenge, which has gone from strength to strength in the three years it has been running in Salisbury schools.
