The Crabapple tree was planted on May 1st at the start of “Clyne in Bloom”. The Tea Tent is open throughout the month and staffed by volunteers including members of SI Swansea. Janet Vine organises the tea rota for the month of May and the sale of teas and cakes raises funds for Parkmill Guide Centre.

President Carol, ably assisted by members of her team of Soroptimists, raised over £2000 for Mary’s Meals and other charities. Music by Jock accompanied the viewing, followed by a short presentation on Mary’s Meals and the backpacks being filled by the club as part of the project. Bidding, ably controlled by Clive Williams and supported by the chief porter, Norma Glass MBE, led to an evening of mirth and enjoyment. Thanks to all those who attended, the people and companies who donated items for the auction and those who happily bid for them. Diolch yn fawr!
