MEMBERSHIP
Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) has over 5000 Members in 250 Clubs in 18 countries including Great Britain, Ireland and countries in Asia, and the Caribbean, who work at a local, national and international level to educate, empower and enable women and girls. It is recognised by the United Nations (UN) as an International Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and is represented at the UN centres in Europe and America.
Members give their time and skills to serve their local communities and the community of the world through projects with particular focus on improving the quality of life for women and girls. Mansfield and District club members are active, striving to have fun, friendships and, food whist raising awareness to achieve our aims and objectives.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month except for August.
- The supper meetings often host a guest speaker which usually takes place at The Watermill, Coxmoor Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, NG17 4NE on the 1st Tuesday evening of each month.
- The club business meetings and AGM also take place at The Watermill, on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
- We start our meetings at 7:30 p.m. and aim to finish by 9:30 p.m.
- We have been using Zoom to conduct some of our meetings, especially during the dark nights of winter.
Anyone wanting to join the Soroptimists – we are a group of women supporting other women and girls globally and in the UK through positive actions. We acknowledge commitment of time, effort and enthusiasm; however, you will have fulfilment, friendship and fun through your journey with us.
