Becoming a Soroptimist, means joining an all Female Organisation,
Soroptimist International, consists of FIVE Federations:
- Soroptimist International Africa Federations
- Soroptimist International of the Americas
- Soroptimist International of Europe
- Soroptimist International of Great Britain & Ireland
- Soroptimist International of the South East Asia Pacific
A Global volunteer movement in 112 Countries of the World, with 72,000 members. We work together at local, national and international level to Educate, Empower and Enable opportunities for women and girls.
S.I. Mansfield & District club is one of 3 in Nottinghamshire, the other 2 are S.I. Dukeries and S.I. Nottingham, and we are part of the Midlands East Region, (12 clubs in the Region.)
We currently have 21 members, who live in areas such as;
Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse, Forest Town, Sutton and Kirkby in Ashfield, Rainworth, Ravenshead, Radmanthwaite, Sherwood, Sookholme, Farnsfield, Edwinstowe, New Houghton, Warsop and Church Warsop!
Our meetings are on the 1st and 3rd. Tuesdays at 7.30pm, held at the Rushley Inn, Nottingham Road, NG18 4SN. There are 10 Club Meetings and 10 Dinner Meetings per year, with a summer break in August.

To be a Soroptimist, a pre-requisite is the spirit of compassion, and a belief that, no matter how small, or how slowly, change occurs, it is a positive sign, and reinforces our actions.
