BOARD GAMES DONATION

The members of Mansfield and district Soroptomist International (SI) group, part of a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls, have donated almost 40 board games to the council to be distributed to the vulnerable families that  Senior Parenting Practitioner, Anne Callaghan, works with across the district

The games will encourage adults and children to interact together as a family in order to repair or build relationships, so the games will be a welcomed addition to family life this Christmas time.

The local SI club was formed in October 1957 in Mansfield. Members work tirelessly for women and girls locally, nationally and globally and strive for Human Rights for all, equality, development and peace, international goodwill, understanding and friendship. Mansfield DC staff and Soroptimist members, Kam Britland and Lorraine Newby  nominated Anne to receive these games, and President of Soroptimists, Diane Milner, for also showing her support.

The games will be distributed to vulnerable families in need of support over the coming weeks.
