Since 2020, we have supported “From Me To You“, a small charity which distributes letters to cancer patients in hospitals.
Something as simple as receiving a letter can make the world of difference to a person suffering from cancer. Through “From Me To You”, volunteers write anonymous letters which are sent to cancer patients in hospital, hopefully brightening their day and bringing a little joy to their lives.
In the four years, we have been working on this project, we have written over 200 letters and publicised the charity’s work to other Soroptimists. We were even chosen to host a poster at the Dublin Convention of 1800 Soroptimists, who saw the work and how it could be replicated. We continue to write letters and hope they bring some sunshine to their recipients’ time in hospital.
