Welcome to Soroptimist International of Bingley (SI Bingley)

SI Bingley extend a warm welcome to any woman living or working in Bingley and the surrounding area to come along to one of our meetings and consider joining us and working on projects to benefit women and girls locally, nationally and globally.

SI Bingley is one of the 25 clubs within the Yorkshire region. It was chartered in 1949 and has been an active club within the Bingley area since then. Women are welcomed from all walks of life and this brings richness and diversity to the club.

Our activities range from the light-hearted to the serious and meaningful, from listening to giving, making to campaigning, sharing to caring, accompanied in true Soroptimist fashion by good food, friendship and fun!

On March 5th SI Bingley member, Chris Clark, currently Yorkshire Regional President, launched Bradford’s campaign, ‘Press for Progress’, the theme for International Women’s Day 2018, alongside Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Leader of the Council, the Deputy Lady Mayoress and Noreen Khan, founder of the Neesie project which supports single mothers and their families. They raised the International Women’s Day flag outside City Hall. This was followed on March 8th, International Women’s Day, by an event at Kala Sangam which focussed on ‘The Power of a Second Chance’ where women from all over Yorkshire came together to hear a variety of inspirational speakers.

SI Bingley make a difference – come and join us!
