Welcome to Soroptimist International of Bingley (SI Bingley)
SI Bingley extend a warm welcome to any woman living or working in Bingley and the surrounding area to come along to one of our meetings and consider joining us and working on projects to benefit women and girls locally, nationally and globally. SI Bingley is one of the 25 clubs within the Yorkshire region. It was chartered in 1949 and has been an active club within the Bingley area since then. Women are welcomed from all walks of life and this brings richness and diversity to the club.
Our activities range from the light-hearted to the serious and meaningful, from listening to giving, making to campaigning, sharing to caring, accompanied in true Soroptimist fashion by good food, friendship and fun!

International Women’s Day Celebrations: March 2019
Members of SI Bingley were present at the raising of the International Women’s Day flag outside City Hall. Chris Clark was invited to contribute and gave two excellent speeches highlighting the work of Soroptimist International in educating and empowering women in a world where gender equality is still ‘work in progress’.
Two key quotes from Chris’s speeches for International Women’s Day:
“Never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your dreams.” Hilary Clinton.
A workshop in City Hall hosted by Neesie, an organisation headed by Noreen Khan, brought women together from a range of diverse groups and discussed a variety of current issues, including knife crime. We are proud of our developing partnership with Neesie as we strive to improve the lives of women and girls.
