Welcome to SI Bingley
SI Bingley extend a warm welcome to any woman living or working in Bingley and the surrounding area to come along to one of our meetings and consider joining us and working on projects to benefit women and girls locally, nationally and globally. SI Bingley is one of the 25 clubs within the Yorkshire region. It was chartered in 1949 and has been an active club within the Bingley area since then. Women are welcomed from all walks of life and this brings richness and diversity to the club.
Our activities range from the light-hearted to the serious and meaningful, from listening to giving, making to campaigning, sharing to caring, accompanied in true Soroptimist fashion by good food, friendship and fun!

SI BINGLEY BUSY IN LOCKDOWN!
During the current pandemic members of SI Bingley have been busy responding to local need and supporting their community.
Members are making laundry bags for NHS staff in local hospitals and knitting baby hats and blankets for the Neonatal Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary and the Baby Basics charity. We are supporting the Bingley Community Kitchen which makes meals for vulnerable families and we’re providing regular telephone support to members in isolation, neighbours and individuals in crisis.
We are keeping in touch with each other using videoconferencing technology such as Zoom and social media which has been a vital tool in providing ongoing social and emotional support and a means of sharing information about our current activities, through Coffee Morning Zooms and meetings and WhatsApp groups.
When the pandemic is over, hopefully members will be able to look back positively upon this time as we continue, even in lockdown, to make a difference!
