Orange is the word! Supporting the Elimination of Violence against Women 2018 & 2021

ORANGE IS THE WORD 2018!

In November 2018 an informative display in Bingley Library highlighted the year’s campaign which started the 16 Days of Action to eliminate Violence against Women.

A Social Evening held at the Eldwick Memorial Hall was a chance for local Soroptimists to wear orange and to come together in solidarity to support this important campaign.

A chocolate tombola stall on December 1st at Morrisons, Girlington again raised awareness of the work done by Soroptimists in conjunction with the Together Women Project and raised vital funds which will continue to support a range of activities for vulnerable women and girls.

The ladies decorated and put up banners to mark the start of the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence.

Our activities range from the light-hearted to the serious and meaningful, from listening to giving, making to campaigning, sharing to caring, accompanied in true Soroptimist fashion by good food, friendship and fun!
