On Tuesday 25 June, Bingley member spoke to a packed house about when she attended the ~Commission on the status of women , in New York earlier this year. She explained the process of the two weeks and in fact it is two conferences under one umbrella . she reiterated the Secretary General’s words –
“The male chauvinist domination of new technologies is undoing decades of progress on women’s rights,” he said. After more than 100 years of progress, “technology is now reversing that trend. It is concentrating power again more in the hands of men—to the detriment of all.”
Susan hopes to go back again next year when CSW focuses on the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Platform.
