At the Charter Lunch in March 2016, Thelma de Leeuw was presented with a certificate for 50 years service to the Bingley Club and also a cut glass vase engraved with the Soroptimist International logo.
Liz Lyle, current Yorkshire President and guest at the Charter Lunch made the presentation. Surprisingly,on this occasion, Thelma admitted she was ‘lost for words!’
Thelma has been awarded Honorary Membership of the SI Bingley Club, having fulfilled many roles over the years from Club President to International President of Soroptimist International. Her contributions, knowledge and advice are greatly valued during discussions at Business meetings. Her sense of fun and good humour and her long standing friendship to many within the club enhance social events.
